welcome fall
Welcome fall! A few photos from our garden. When this pumpkin was small, we engraved the word "fall" and I am amazed at how it turned out. Fun idea for next year...engrave more words (thanksgiving, blessings, autumn) or names.
Purple potatoes...yes, purple! We planted them way back in April, forgot about the color, and they were a surprise when we pulled them up. Delicious and a colorful food!
My dahlias did great this year...less bugs and lots of beautiful flowers.
My display of pumpkins! I like how it turned out with the "fall" pumpkin on top. Add in some bittersweet...
Our cat found a sunny spot on this sunny, warm fall day! Enjoy your weekend :)

Summer Straws
Found these colorful straws at Target the other day. I was thinking these would be great for a birthday party, or for just adding some fun to your summer drink. Great colors and designs!
I'm off to make these Cinnamon Sugar Muffins this morning. Yum! Have a great Saturday!

Owls
At the grocery store (Fred Meyers) a while back I found a tissue box with these cute owl images on the sides. I just adore them! I think I'll save the box maybe use the images for a project. The brand of tissue is Kleenex Expressions.

Around the yard...
Photos from around our yard. Summertime is wonderful...fresh blueberries, raspberries and strawberries for the picking, bouquets of sweet peas, fresh veggies for salads. Sorry it's been so long since I posted, I've been spending so much time outside. Hope you are having a wonderful summer : )
Flowering hydranga. Love how these flowers start out one color, and turn to green and pink shades.
Honeysuckle just outside our garden shed. Smells so delicious! Yum.
I noticed all these bees in my neighbor's tree the other day. They are honey bees...tons of them. Amazing! My neighbor thought maybe the queen bee left the hive and the honey bees followed her to this branch. They love their queen! I've never seen anything like this!
Colorful Swiss Chard...bright lights
The best for last...sweet peas! So fragrant...I just picked a big bouquet and brought them in. Such a sweet fragrance.

Heart #3
Phew, we are almost into February...I can't believe how fast January went. Just finished up heart #3. This one I used pink and tan colors, with vintage buttons, jewelry and lace. I added a Victorian tag on top with the some ribbon. I can't wait to see the other hearts. It would be pretty to display all three hearts in a basket or something. I {heart} this project - Have a great weekend!

Hearts

A few sneak peaks of some embellished hearts I've been working on. I started the project by cutting hearts out of a vintage linen, sewing them together, and adding in the stuffing. Now the fun part adding vintage lace, flowers, beads, and buttons. Perfect project for a snowy day!
Snowy Days
It is a winter wonderland here this week! We usually don't get a lot of snow that sticks around. The week started out with small amounts of snow. Then Tuesday we got 7 inches of snow, and yesterday 4 inches. At times it was like a blizzard. It is simply beautiful! But now later today there is freezing rain in the forecast as the temperature starts to warm. Gotta love snowy days...maybe we'll build another snowman. Stay warm!

Sparkle
Today I'm hoping to finish up some projects...my desk is full of sparkle from sprinkling glitter on projects. Phew, it's going to make me sneeze! Also on my list is to bake some Christmas cookies today. Enjoy your day!
