We've been working on this magnetic calendar. We ran across the idea at our local craft store. It might be fun to use some photos as part of the calendar. Maybe for next month. Happy Tuesday :)

My "Wishing You Cupid's Kiss" collage arrived on Friday. Thank you Merleen! Love all the vintage items Merleen used to make this collage and the packaging is beautiful too! I just adore this collage!

Wishing you cupid's kiss!
I've been working on this tiny birthday book. I used up some of little remnants of paper and words I've had piled up for a while. It was fun! Julie has posted directions for making them are here.
Last week was a fun mail week! I was in Natalea's Valentine Tag Book Swap! Here are a couple of photos of the gorgeous tag book. Each book contains 20 beautifully decorated tags. I just adore this tag book! Thanks again, Natalea, for hosting, and for all who created lovely tags, thank you!!
I was in Heather's petite inspiration box swap: valentine edition. I received these 3 altered boxes filled with lots of inspiring supplies! Thanks, Heather, for hosting a wonderful swap!
Natalea's on the left; Maria's in the middle and Cari's on the right. Thank you for these gorgeous boxes!!
A little peek at a valentine collage I've been working on. I decided to use some of my lace and ribbons on the bottom of the collage and did some stitching around the edge.
I've been sorting through my jar of ribbon and lace for a new project... some of my favorite colors.
Finding remnants of paper for a journal I'm hoping to start this weekend. Happy Thursday! xo, connie
After a few days of crafting, now it's time to clean up so I can see my table. I found another use for my antique green truck. A business card holder!
We went on a field trip to the International District in Seattle last week. First, a scavenger hunt and lunch at the Uwajimaya Market. The scavenger hunt was fun, the kids and a chaperon had a list of items to find, like write down the 2 types of Sushi, name the biggest mushroom, how many types of rice crackers can you find? Then we went over to the Fortune Cookie Factory for a tour. We brought home a BIG bag of fortune cookies to share! A great time!

Yep, it's true...I can't resist a fun swap! I've been working on these 3 boxes for Heather's petite inspiration swap: valentine edition. You start out with a match box about 2 x 4 in size (you can find them at the grocery store), cover and decorate the outside. Slide the box out, then cover with paper or paint it if you like. Now you're ready to find all kinds of treasures to put inside the box. I'm going to add some valentine items, buttons, millinery flowers, ribbons, lace, vintage jewelry, etc. Here's a peek so far. This is my favorite part of the project!
Have fun!
In the most recent issue of Somerset Life, I found this idea for a handkerchief vase. This is so easy and is a great way to use beautiful handkerchiefs. I started with a glass wide mouth canning jar, then cut 2 pieces of wire, wrapped one piece around the rimmed top of the jar, then attached the other piece from side to side and twisted the ends around. I folded the handkerchief in half, wrapped it around the jar, then tied it with a piece of ribbon. You can hang the jar up and use it to hold various items, or add a little something inside like a bouquet of flowers or sweets for a gift. Love this idea!

Enjoy! Connie
Phew, it's been a busy week with basketball practices, car repairs, ortho appt., etc. We've been trying to eat healthy, so I've been busy cooking up some new light recipes. I'll share them with you. I found some treasured garden items at an estate sale earlier this month. The terrarium is my favorite...can't wait to plant something in it.
This guy just made me laugh...he looks like a hard worker and happy too : )
This will be fun to put a bouquet of flowers in. All of these items make me dream of spring.
I found 4 of these mossy lantern lights. This explains our weather here has been very wet, rainy and mossy. Moss is growing everywhere it seems! Have a wonderful weekend! Connie
